Janak

Janak is a UK qualified Pharmacist, Independent Clinical Prescriber and Senior GP Pharmacist. Having a keen interest in teaching and education, he is also a regional Learning & Development Lead for Primary Care Pharmacists.

Janak has a special interest in the use of technology to promote improved health outcomes, and is the Co-Founder of PPELink; one of the world’s largest PPE Marketplaces, which has provided millions of units of Personal Protective Equipment worldwide.

Being a passionate Life Coach has given Janak the opportunity to deliver numerous seminars on health and lifestyle, with a primary emphasis on using Ayurveda principles to enhance and focus mindset.

Janak is the Director of The School of Ayurveda UK.

Arti

Arti is a qualified UK based Clinical Pharmacist and is also an Ayurveda Practitioner. She has over 10 years of experience in the UK pharmacy sector, and is a Senior Hospital Pharmacist. She has numerous post graduate qualifications as well as a Clinical Diploma in Primary Care & Pharmacology.

Brought up in the UK, her grandmother was an Ayurveda Clinician and the teachings of Ayurveda have been weaved in her upbringing ever since.

Now, combining Easter and Western medicine, she is able to share her passion for Ayurveda to help others.

Arti is the Programme Manager at The School of Ayurveda UK.

Chaithra

Dr. Chaithra is an Ayurveda physician BAMS, MD(Ayu) and has been practicing Ayurveda for over eight years. She has completed post-graduation in Roganidana (Pathology) from the prestigious SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi. She is a certified yoga therapist.

Having a passion for learning and teaching, Dr.Chaithra has completed numerous specialist programs on Panchakarma and ayurvedic cosmetology. She has many years of client-facing experience in the health care sector with esteemed institutions.

Dr. Chaithra has presented at many national and international Ayurveda conferences and has a keen interest in the development of Ayurveda in the western world. Her case presentation won the first position at the 24th international Ayurveda conference, Pragati 2017.

Currently based in London, she is the principal lecturer at the school of Ayurveda UK and is keen to share her vast experience and knowledge of Ayurveda.

Akshatha

Dr Akshatha is a passionate Ayurveda Physician with over 8 years of proactive in the Ayurveda field. After completing her MD in Dravyaguna (Ayurvedic Pharmacology), she has worked as an Assistant Professor in various reputed Ayurvedic colleges across Bangalore alongside practising and propagating Ayurveda.

Dr Akshatha believes one can achieve complete wellness of their sense organs, mind, body and soul by following the principles of Ayurveda. She has delivered many health awareness seminars, conducted health camps and mentored students to teach the principles of Ayurveda.

Dr Akshatha specialises in identification of herbs and selection of medicinal plants, which are useful in different health conditions. Besides Ayurveda, Akshatha has been pursuing her interests in classical dance as a professional kathak dancer, Samskruta and Yoga as a practitioner.

Elena

A native New Yorker, Elena has taught Sanskrit to children and adults for 25 years in the United Kingdom and is one of the authors of the St James series of Sanskrit textbooks. 

 In 2008 she received a Masters’ degree in Sanskrit Literature from London University (SOAS) and is now a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society.  

 Elena has been based at St James School in London, where over 2500 pupils have benefited from the linguistic discipline of the Sanskrit language. Elena is inspired by the Sanskrit tradition and is always looking for ways that its ancient wisdom can be made available to the modern world.

Elena is a Sanskrit lecturer at The School of Ayurveda UK.

Manju

Manju Kolli is an Ayurvedic practitioner based out of San Francisco, Bay Area. She is the Founding Director of Ayurhitam, an Ayurvedic wellness clinic. Manju also has over 15 years of experience serving as a Clinical Pharmacist in the allopathic medical field.

Manju has unique approach in selecting proper care for every client. Her area of expertise is Women and Kids' health through the lens of Ayurveda. She brings a unique voice to the field with her past career as a clinical pharmacist and her dedication to demonstrating the clinical effectiveness of Ayurveda in our times. Her vision is to bring Ayurveda its lost glory and prove its effectiveness as a proper science. Manju also serves as a Board Member at the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine.

Manju is a mother of 2 boys and is involved in many community activities including teaching kids ancient Indian scriptures like Bhagavad Gita and teaching breathing practices.

Manju is a lecturer at The School of Ayurveda UK.

Dhanada

VedAcharya Dr. Dhanada Kulkarni - BAMS, MD-Alternative Medicine, AD, LMT, RMAS, BCIM, International Master Ayurvedic and Yoga Specialist & Expert, Licensed Massage Therapist, B.A. Vedanga Jyotish, Diploma in Vastushasatra. Board certified in American Alternative Medicine, (AAMA), Board Certified in American integrative Medicine BCIM from (AAIM), Pre/Post-natal exercise specialist, AFPA, USA.

VedAcharya Dhanada has been very active in promoting Ayurveda and other ancient Indian sciences at various forums in the USA over the last 20 years. She serves on the board of directors at National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and served as board on several organisations in the past like AAPNA, CAC. She has been on faculty for many Ayurveda and Yoga organisations, universities and colleges.

Dr Dhanada has been an international keynote speaker, presenter and integrated medicine panel expert. She is also known from presenting Ayurvedic solutions on various media groups such as radio Azad, Funasia, EBC Radio, Radiozindagi, Asia TV. She is founder of Astanga Ayurved and Panchakarma wellness centre, a Vedic Astrologer and Vastu Consultant.

Dr Sundar

Sundar Balasubramanian is an award winning Pranayama researcher, teacher, author, and the Founder and Director of PranaScience Institute. His first discovery of connecting Pranayama and salivary biomarkers, and utilizing Pranayama for clinical conditions make him a true pioneer in the field. He teaches the science of Pranayama by traveling around the world, through webinars, teacher trainings, and workshops.

Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian is a Cell Biology researcher currently studying cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in resistance to cancer therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA. He is also a Yoga Biology researcher, and is the Founder and Director of PranaScience Institute. Sundar’s Yoga research has provided scientific evidence how Yoga breathing practices could promote wellbeing in health and disease. His first book is “PranaScience: Decoding Yoga Breathing”, and his latest book is “Mind Your Breathing: The Yogi’s Handbook with 37 Pranayama Exercises”. His recent audio album is “Chanting Is Pranayama”. He was a speaker at TEDx Charleston 2015, and his video is among the most popular in the field (1 million+ views). This JC Bose Memorial Awardee’s work is well publicized through Discover magazine, New York Times, Huffington Post, National Public Radio, and other popular media. Sundar grew up in Tamil Nadu, India in a traditional Yoga and Siddha medicine practicing family background; and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Swami Chitbhavananda's Vivekananda Gurukula College in India where he deepened his Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, and Kirtan practices. He has been conducting workshops and giving talks on the scientific aspects of Pranayama globally. He is a member of International Association of Yoga Therapists, and the Integral Yoga Teachers Association, and he is an IAYT certified Yoga therapist (C-IAYT). He is the Founder Director of Yoga Education Trust in India, and an adjunct faculty at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India and Siddha Vetha Center for Transdisciplinary Studies in New Jersey, USA.

Kanika

Vaidya Kanika Verma is an Ayurveda Physician (BAMS, MMS, PGDPC, PGDVA) with a focus on Preventive Ayurveda. She specialises in Satvavjaya (Ayurvedic Mental Health Management) and Ritucharya consultation (Ayurvedic Preventive seasonal therapy), with more than 10 years of experience.


Kanika is also a qualified psychotherapist with a specialisation in mindfulness. She loves to combine mental healing along with physical treatment. Her knowledge of Vedic medical astrology adds to her diagnosis and disease prediction abilities.

Kanika believes that everyone can stay perennially healthy by simplifying the mind, diet, and lifestyle. Her two published books (Ageless Life with Ayurvedic Ritucharya (2016)
Zero-Time Mindfulness (2019))
echo her opinion on simplicity and flexible health approach.

Rekha

Dr Rekha is a senior experienced Ayurveda Physician (BAMS, Dip Panchakarma) currently running a successful Ayurveda and Panchakarma centre in Chennai, India. She has been in continual clinical practice for over 10 years, and has had the opportunity  to help numerous people to manage an extensive range of acute and chronic disorders.

Dr Rekha has gained several specialist qualifications including clinical training in Panchakarma, Women’s Health and Fertility. She has presented and conducted over 17 seminars and workshops in her clinical work which has gained much recognition. Dr Rekha was awarded the Jeevaka Award in 2011, Academic Achiever Award in 2011 and Women’s Achiever Award in Alternative Medicine 2020.

Dr Rekha is the founder of a successfully running Ayurveda and Panchakarma Centre in Chennai - Deepam Ayurveda.
